Growing up playing soccer competitively prepared Courtney for union leadership as both require tenacity, calculated aggression, and maintaining focus on the long game end goal.  Her degree in Biology and experience as both a Wildlife Biologist and Laboratory Scientist, exposed her to the inanity of large bureaucracies impeding their purported goals through their own policies.  In her spare time, Courney enjoys bird watching, cooking, spending time with her dog, and backloging her husband's honey-do list.
