​When MODA and Kaiser informed the City that they would be raising healthcare premiums but as much as 14% in the coming plan year, BHR's response was to push those rising costs directly onto employees, significantly raising our of pocket costs for the same coverage.  What BHR didn't count on was *all* of the City's bargaining units coming together to develop and deliver our own plan to City Council; a plan that would maintain our current benefits with the lowest impacts possible for our members. Standing together, we won! For more information, please see this announcement from Local 189 Executive Board.  You can count on us to address this at the bargaining table over the coming months.
